All Poo and Pee, but so Pretty

WEEK 2

Sweet family and friends, Oh my goodness- If you haven't yet, you gotta meet this magical little boy! He is so beautiful! and wow the "stuff" that comes out of him is disgusting! :)

Here are some recent photos- notice how smitten Mimi and Papa are!! Next week Nonie and Papaw will be here!! We can't wait and are so thankful for our dear families and friends help and love! 

Notice Lincoln is wearing the star outfit in one of the pics... That was the last day it fit him! He only wore it twice... ours is a big boy!

Our Lincoln Log

DAYS 6-9

He is our Midnite sunshine. Our little man. Our sweetness. Our love light. Our Lincoln Log. A miracle a minute.

He had his 1st Dr's appointment and I got to have a turkey sandwich! Mom and Dads 1st meal out with our babe- he slept like a log the entire time...Lesley notice the hip Japanese onesie!? It's not too big at all- we love it, thank you!  Just wait til Dumpling gets here- you'll be shocked about how small you thought every 0-3 outfit was and she swims in it...

Love you all!!! We are so excited for Lincoln's grandparents to come and bath him in love in the coming weeks!

4 and 5 days old....

We are so in love! He is a total dream boat- he's peaceful, so gentle and beautiful beyond words ... It's possible that we are biased... 

He eats amazingly well, poops (several times, projectile- on his daddy and often while the diaper change is in process) , pees (several times straight up in the air- once --Poor Guy-- right on his own sweet little face!!) and he coos like an angel..... we melt and fall more in love every minute that passes...even when he shrieks his high pitch scream!  :)

Lincoln Goes Home!

  

It's been quite a few days!  Lincoln Midnite was born on Tuesday at 9:43 a.m.(a sunny 65 degree day in the middle of a Chicago winter).  Kate and I are so in love with our new creation even when he is peeing and pooing.  Lincoln is surprisingly letting us getting some sleep too.  We'll see how long that lasts!  

Today, we've brought our little man home to the 'Sea of Love'.

Finally a new post...

WEEK 38

Whoa! Poppy is large and in charge!

This photo was taken last weekend... I feel even bigger now. The best news this week is that I am finally done working for a little while! It hasn't sunk in yet but I am happily relaxing already! The last few days at work were impossibly exhausting- My back was killing me and I was feeling guilty about leaving my students with a sub so I rarely sat down- teaching til the last second! I couldn't really walk by the end- I was so ready to be out of the building yesterday afternoon- but my slow waddle was ridiculous and it took forever to get from one end of the building to the other!

But now I'm free! :) Free to focus on our son and his arrival. Free to relax and focus on taking care of my body for a few days! Free to eat the doz pink cupcakes that my parents brought me!!
