WEEK 31
Oh my goodness that's a BIG belly!!! Can you believe this little man has 9 more weeks to GROW!
I had the most lovely time at Poppy's shower this past weekend- We are thrilled with all of our gifts- like all the amazing children's books! (We've been reading them and love imagining reading them to our son!)
The holiday break starts friday and couldn't be here soon enough- I'm tired but I can't wait to get even more ready for our new family member - I'll be spending the vacation washing all the beautiful clothes, blankets and diapers we received as gifts and finishing the stuffed octopus I've been making- sounds lovely and relaxing :)
for Poppy, with all our love and hope from Mimi and Papa: (written in 2000 by Angeles Arrien, a cultural anthropoligist from California)
ReplyDeleteMay you be Powerfully Loving and Lovingly Powerful. May Love be your Guide with family, friends and colleagues. Remember to listen carefully to your own Heart and to the Hearts of Others.
May you have the Strength to overcome Fear and Pride and instead follow what has Heart and Meaning for you. Take an Action every day to support your Life Dream, your Love Nature, and your Integrity.
May you care for Mother Nature and the Wilderness and help all living things keep their Dignity.
May you be an active, committed Positive Force in your community. May you show respect to People of All Ages and Races and help make a better world for the Poor, the Sick, the Elderly and the Youth.
May you respect all the ways human beings access their own Spirituality.
May you constantly bring your Gifts and Talents forward every day without hesitation or reservation.
With deep gratitude and respect for all that you will do to make the Earth a better place in which to live.
Kate, you look gorgeous! And your belly looks toasty.
ReplyDeleteLove how the shape of your belly is really defining a baby boy [as I have been told in Bali, boys are "pointy"in the belly area!]
anyway, how wonderful to hear about your shower and all the nice things. I spent a sunday as well washing all of dumpling's clothes... I can't believe while holding and folding some of these things that the baby will be wearing them. Reality has not set in, and I was told that it will not settle in until you hold him/her for the first time.
Life is going by so fast these days, enjoy your time in Milwaukee. And Happy Anniversary!
Also your Mimi and papa quoted the most beautiful note above...
You're so lucky to have so much love and admiration by your family! Poppy is so lucky too!
xoxo
